Frédéric Landragin is a French engineer and doctor in computer science. He is currently a research director at the CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research) based in Paris, in the domain of linguistics and its computer applications, for instance the communication between humans and machines using language. His research deals with natural language processing and artificial intelligence, with a particular interest on the processes involved by linguistic interpretation, and when taking into account the relations between visual perception, gesture and language (multimodality). He therefore participated to several European and national projects, with applications such as human-machine dialogue in virtual environments or tablets.
